Metro Volunteers
is your Connection for Community Impact!
Metro Volunteers provides
training and support for businesses of all sizes who
are interested in developing or rebuilding employee
volunteer programs. We will work with you to
initiate or strengthen a dynamic, positive and solid
volunteer program which will enhance your company's
overall community involvement plan by giving it
substance and support.

Pre-Program Management
Consultation
Metro Volunteers will consult with senior
management and other appropriate levels of
management to review your company's history of
financial and personnel community involvement and to
engage management's support of the program. The
discussion will focus on overall corporate goals and
objectives of an employee volunteer program.
Employee Survey
Metro Volunteers will conduct and tabulate an
employee survey to assess current community
involvement and employee interests and to gain an
estimate of employee participation. Also, employee
focus groups will be facilitated to establish a
baseline of interest, assess expectations and
perceptions, and gain ownership into program.
Program Structure
Metro Volunteers will coordinate the development
of program strategies, systems and procedures. The
selection and training of program leaders will
result in a successful, ongoing internal program.
Also inherent to the program are budget development,
implementation of a tracking system and coordination
of a volunteer recognition program.
Nonprofit Agency Liaison
To ensure positive relationships with the
nonprofit sector, Metro Volunteers will research
project possibilities and introduce your company to
potential nonprofit partnerships that meet corporate
specifications. Site visits are conducted on an
as-needed basis.
Project Management
Metro Volunteers will manage all aspects of the
program from the initial nonprofit contact through
the actual day of service - or selected segments in
between. Metro Volunteers will serve as the liaison
to the nonprofit agency, coordinate logistics, and
provide company volunteers with the necessary
details of the project and information regarding the
nonprofit agency they will be helping. Individual
project evaluation forms can be provided, along with
reports on volunteer hours contributed and the
relative value of the project to the nonprofit
organization(s).
Marketing/Public
Relations
To generate internal interest in the Corporate
Volunteer Program, Metro Volunteers can assist in
organizing a company kick-off event, which includes
a sign-up opportunity for prospective projects. An
employee volunteer handbook and/or group
presentations will inform employees of the
procedures and process of being a volunteer. A
brochure about the program can be produced to market
your company's social involvement externally.
Project specific photographs or brief feature
articles can also be provided for internal
communications.
We offer various
partnership/sponsorship opportunities allowing for
individual and company name recognition through
internet, television, radio, newspaper and magazine
coverage - enhancing your company's positive public
image and building company morale.
